Paint Correction Services in Leesburg

What is Paint Correction and is it right for you?

Over days, months, and years, your vehicle may have accumulated a variety of swirls, scratches, and paint fading because of quick car washes, improper maintenance, previous owners, etc. These paint defects reduce the shine and gloss of your vehicles paint while showcasing swirl marks at certain angles in sunlight.

This is where our paint correction services come in - to remove those defects and bring life back to your vehicle’s paint work! This process includes a Premium Exterior Detail, which rids the exterior of any contaminants. Paint polishing/correction follows, and protection is applied! See the full process and results below.

Our Two Levels of Paint Correction

Level 1

Level 1 paint correction will remove roughly 60-75% of the paint defects on your vehicle. This level of correction will drastically improve the condition, gloss, appearance, and overall shine of your paint. For most vehicles, this is the ideal solution to remove most defects that are visible to the naked eye.

Level 2

Level 2 paint correction will remove 80 - 90% of paint defects on your vehicle to achieve near peak clarity and gloss. This ultra high-end correction also consists of polishing all exterior paint once, but then repeating the entire process with a finer polish/solution to achieve peak results. If you’re very particular and want to achieve the absolute highest luster possible, this is the option for you!

Our Paint Correction Process

  • Wheels and Tires

All wheels, tires, and fender wells will be deep cleaned with multiple brushes.

  • Wash

A full wash of the car’s exterior to remove dirt, grime, bugs, and anything similar on the paint.

  • Chemical Decontamination

Chemical and mechanical decontamination - in simpler terms, using an iron remover to remove brake dust and iron particles from the paint

  • Clay

Claying the full vehicle will remove any remaining contaminants that weren’t removed from the wash and chemical decontamination phase

  • Paint Prep

The entire vehicle will be dried, then trim will be taped off to avoid staining during paint correction.

  • Polishing

Going panel by panel, polish paintwork to restore gloss and remove imperfections. For Level 2 - this step is repeated with a finer polish as well.

  • Protection

After removing all polish/compound from the paint, protection will be applied. Optional ceramic coatings are also available upon request for an additional cost.

 FAQs

  • The biggest factor will be the condition of your paint. If there are heavy defects, swirling, and/or oxidization, it’ll take much more time (and elbow grease!) to remove. This is why we have ranges instead of a set number. Contrastingly, if there aren’t extreme defects, it doesn’t make sense to charge you on the higher end of the price range.

  • Level 1 will remove a large amount of defects and drastically improve your paints appearance. Level 2 does the same, but there is an additional polishing step aimed to remove even the finest of defects.

  • Faded paint, swirl marks, medium scratches, and oxidization are all defects that can be removed through paint correction. What we cannot remove are stone chips or very deep scratches that have penetrated all paint layers. This is because they’re too deep and may require sanding and respray.

  • While waxing may temporarily fill in light scratches, it doesn’t remove them. Paint correction removes paint defects. Our paint correction services are followed by a waxing/protection stage to top off your service!

  • Times can vary depending on condition and size, but level 1 can take between 3 and 6 hours. Level 2 can take between 5 and 10 hours. Because of the nature of paint restoration, this isn’t a process that we can rush or speed up as it may sacrifice results, which is not ideal for either you or us!
